We're paying homage to the many artists, producers, arrangers, DJs and crate diggers who have contributed and continue to contribute to the Jazz-Funk movement. Jazz-Funk is a subgenre of jazz incorporating elements of jazz and funk made popular throughout the 70s and the early 80s. Artists who have notably explored Jazz-Funk are Herbie Hancock, Roy Ayers, Donald Byrd, Eddie Henderson, George Duke, Bob James, David Axelrod, The Mizell Brothers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Patrice Rushen, Bobbi Humphrey, Tom Browne, Don Blackman, Charles Earland and Dexter Wansel to name a few.
